1. Describe your experiences about using this product.
This project was
very demanding and difficult to complete. However, I have learned so much about technology by completing it that I am anxious
to get the appropriate programs install on my computer in order to deliver my final project as a internet based instructional
unit. This type of delivery system will not only be a challenge for me to create but will also allow me to share my instruction
with a much larger audience than I would have been able to reach with face to face instruction.
2. Explain why you did or did not deviate from your planned design process.
As
I progressed in this assignment I found other technology that I could include in my final project. The tutorials for the Windows
Movie Maker program as well as the assigned text's step by step instructions in the use of this program allowed me to add
more to the final product than I had originally envisioned. The final conceptual framework includes the items that I included
after I had the chance to study all of the resources.
3. Identify a use of this technology tool for teaching and a use for learning.
The
way I would use this technology was mentioned above. I had orginally planned on a powerpoint presentation of my instructional
content which would allow me to reach one group of students at a time. Since completing this assignment I believe I can complete
a final capstone product that will be totally internet based with interactive qualities that will allow me to reach more students
at a time. The learning that this interactive presentation will allow my students to be involved in can be just as effective,
if not more effective, than face to face interaction. I can bring in videos, pictures and graphics from other successful program
that include children with disabilities from around the world as examples.
4. Explain why you had difficulty using a part of this technology tool.
At
first this project seemed quite overwhelming. I had video that was not able to be recognized by the Windows Movie Maker program
and I had to find solutions to that problem. However, which working through the process I did find the solutions while learning
new tools that were available to me through the internet and simply by asking questions.
5. Explain what you would do differently if you were going to design with this learning tool again.
I would find within my educational budget the money to purchase the E-Learning suite from Adobe. This is
a current goal of mine. Within this suite of program there are many compatible programs that would have made this presentation
easier to produce. This is a goal for the near future so that my final Capstone will be of the highest professional quality
I can possibly produce.
6. Predict how you could use your experience to train someone else in the use of this tool.
I have learmed many ways in which to produce a quality product through the process of developing this multimedia
presentation. I would use my experiences as a spring board to help someone else in not making the same mistakes that I made
that I found so discouraging at the beginning of this process.
