Directions to
Create Web Site
1. Enroll with a web site development program.
a.
The program
I chose to use for my web site was register.com
i. Use the programs tutorial to familiarize yourself with specific
program of choice
2. Creating the site format.
a. Click on icon at bottom of page to create a page
i. Click on icon at bottom of page to change look
ii. Click on choose a new design
iii. Click on browse by website layout
iv. Click on customizable designs
v. Choose vertical navagation
vi. Choose a design
vii. Choose the layout and designs by following instructions
3. Set up pages
a. Click on add page at bottom of page
b.
Click on edit
page title at top of page
i. Type in the name of your page
c.
Click on add
text at the bottom of the page
i. Choose area for your text to appear
ii. Type in text you wish to have appear
4. Adding link to other pages
a.
Click on add
picture at the bottom of page
i. Choose a picture from library
ii. Choose display size
iii. Choose alignment of picture
iv. Type in title and caption
v. Choose link to another page on this web site and choose page
from
drop down menu
vi. Choose done
5. Repeat steps 3-5 until you have created all of the pages you want to include
6. When complete choose publish to web from the bottom of the page
