Hand of Angels,Inc. is a not-for-profit organization. We need your help with a big project for
very special children in DeSoto County, Florida. DeSoto County is a rural area in the center of the state of Florida
and has 850 plus children with identified disabilities. We have playgrounds located throughout the
county , however, none that are accessible for a children with disabilities . Hand of Angels, Inc. is working
with the City of Arcadia to renovation a playground that is located at Lake Katherine. This area already has
an walking path that goes around the lake and has different exercise areas. The design
of the playground will provide accessibility to all children and their families. The main playground system will be accessed
through an ADA ramp bridge system and will have many areas with stimulating, interactive play centers .
The main playground structure will be accessible for children of all abilities, as well as parents, grandparents
and other adult with disabilities who may want to interact with their children while they play. The proposed playground will
also provide an area for family picnics and community activities. The purpose of this playground area
will not only be for children with physical and mental disabilities, but will also be appropriate for peers of these children.
Hand of Angels, Inc. believes that when children learn, play and grow together in an inclusive environment the differences
in their abilities become less of a barrier to acceptance and these same children will grow up to become more tolerant of
the differences of all people We are need in of help with matching funding to complete this project. We
are writing to foundation for a grants that will match any funding that we will receive. We have and
are currently doing fundraisers to help raise these matching funds. The playground will cost total of $310,000.00.

This playground will be a place where all children can play regardless of their abilities. Our mission is to "Celebrate
Inclusion - All People All the Time" by removing artifical barriers that prevent interaction. You can click on
